Running Shoes?

So everytime I run a good distance I get some pretty rough pains in the same place in my right hip, seeing as how I'm not elderly I've pretty much chalked it up to my shoes. I'm going to be running ALOT in the next few months, so I need some good running shoes that will last me. Nothing too pricey, but they don't have to be bargain bin.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Running Shoes?
Asics are the best. I used to be a penny pincher about running shoes but a Sgt in the academy told me something I'll never forget...You only get one pair of feet. Don't skimp on quality when it comes to your feet, otherwise you'll regret it later. Asics are a little pricey but they are by far the best. Saucony is also really good.
Reply:I really like Asics. I've had the Gel-Kayano's and the 2120's and both were very nice. The Kayano's will cost a little more but the 2120's are just as good (just a little less cushion). Honestly though when it comes to your feet, hips, knees and joints you can't spend too much money.
Reply:I think you need to find a more comfortable shoe for your distance running.

Other reason that like you say that you always hurt your right hip, may be is the way u run, your possition wasn't right!!
Reply:I wear Asics "gel kinsei" i love them... but if you try them on and want to buy them get ready to spend $160.00 U.S. dollars.
Reply:It is not your shoes. the only thing is you are drinking water while you are running. You have to be able to digest water. Yes I know it is very weird. I just learned this in school. Your digestive system needs to be able to digest, but when you are drinking water as u are running the things in your body are in the way for the digestive system to work.
Reply:go check out one of those shoe stores where you run on a treadmill and they hook up a monitor and tell you what shoes you need. its worth the drive and time.
