Is it just me or is Payless....?

... (the shoe store)'s prices going up? I mean, I know they're getting popular with all those name brand look-alikes, but overall, their shoes don't last and smell really BAD.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I went there thinking I would grab a great pair of cute espadrilles but they didn't have anything and the ones they did have didn't go with what I was going to wear!! And the prices are NO LESS then going to Walmart, Target, Khols or any other stores! Where did "payless" go? And Bongo's remind me of the no name brand of Reebok, and Nike!! NOT FOR MY FEET!!

Reply:i dont think so at all. i love payless. i have dozens of shoes from there and i think i was unhappy with one pair that was trying to copy a pair of steve maddens. If anything, maybe they went up a few dollars here and there, but overall not a major difference. if you notice the prices on everything are rising.

Reply:Everything is going up in price. I remember when I could get a snikers bar for $0.35. And gas was $0.97 $0.98, $0.99 per gallon! God Bless America! Home of the free and obviously the Paid
Reply:Everything has to go up in price eventually. They're still MUCH cheaper than the name-brand ones. Seems like you can't buy a decent pair for under $50 these days - and even that is pushing it.
