Okay..how do you cook chicken on the gas grill?
Nope, dont listen to other answers.. I was a marine chef...

take the chicken, and marinate it s usual, although make sure you put traces of water over the chicken as u bar-b-que it...

that way it will be tasty and the chicken skin wont be "leather".

Also make sure not to put too much water.. that would make it too long to cook. If you want an exact answer... put an ounce or 2 every 13-15 min on the chicken...

Good luck..

P.S- use a sauce
Reply:The key to this is using the correct temperature control.

Heat your gas grill to high and put the chicken on there skin side down for about 2 minutes and then cook the other side for 2 minutes. (This is all with the lid open). Then turn all of y our burners all the way down and let cook on low until the chicken is done. (with the lid down.) Cook from 7 minutes per side if you are using small boneless breasts all the way to about 12 minutes per side if you are cooking bone in dark meat. No matter the size of the chicken dark meat always takes longer to cook.

That is it sear on high heat and then turn all the way down to the lowest heat and cook slow and low until done.

It is done when you can touch it and there is no resistance to your touch.
Reply:You had to much heat going on. A lot of people boil it first. I don't. First off..get a spray bottle..put water in it..a little lemon juice or lemon juice concentrate and white vinegar and maybe toss some garlic chunks in there. Large pieces as so not to clog the spray bottle. Spray the chicken from time to time to keep it from burning or if you get a flare up on the grill. Move the chicken around from time to time to different spots if your grill has hot spot. I personally like boneless skinless chicken breast on the grill. Marinate in itilian dressing. A buck a bottle at the dollar store. Get them off as soon as there done though or they will dry out.
Reply:Well it seems like what you did wrong last time was cooked it to fast. Slow down...That way it will be moist and tender!

Then when you think its about done either get a meat thermometer or cut it open a little! If its still pink inside the cook it a little longer! Then right before your ready to take it off smuther it with BBQ sauce and let it sit for a second of two and then WALL-LA!! its delicious chicken! But i think it always taste better on charcoal!
Reply:Chicken in not like steak. You want to go low to med heat, and dont be afraid to baist it once and a while. Also dont cook too long get a thermometer and once you reach 180 degrees in the center of a thigh take it off. Hope this helps.

PS Dont use your raw chicken marinade to baist it get some fresh.
Reply:Turn down the heat and cook it slower.

Use a meat thermometer so you know when the

inside is done, and you don't overcook it.
Reply:Wrap it in foil so it cooks in its own juices, then it'll stay nice and tender. If you want the surface crisp then after it has cooked just stick it under for a minute on each side.
Reply:Boil first in a pan with onion, garlic and oregano, salt, pepper for about 10 minutes. Then place over grill on each side, medium flame for about 5- 7 minutes on each side.
Reply:take the chicken but it in a pan throw in in microwave with some water cover with saran wrap cook for a few minutes then throw on grill easy you are only really BBQ the out side thus real moist and still crispy out side
Reply:Instead of cooking it directly on top of the flame turn on the flames on either side. Turn it over only once.
Reply:Baste it with olive oil, bbq sauce, or mojo while cooking.....works great! Also like previous answers, less heat.
Reply:cook in slower with less heat.
