Sore feet from new running shoes?

I just got some new Nike shoes to work out in and run on the treadmill. The shoes fit great until I have been walking or running about 10 minutes. When I got off the treadmill last night the heels of my socks and shoes were soaked in blood and I have huge open sores on my heels. I haven't worn shoes with an actual back to them since like February. Will this get better with time, like maybe I just need to break in the new shoes and toughen up my heels, or do I need to get some other shoes?

Sore feet from new running shoes?
one of my shoes did that too...there was actually something on the back of my shoe that was scraping my skin (just below the ankle). it bleed after a while of walking....I recommend you get better softer shoes or get some really thick soft socks to protect your feet...or lay something soft %26amp; thick on the inside of your shoes...especially in the areas where they cut you.
Reply:well its weird that u bled but getting used to shoes takes a while i know because i run track
Reply:You definitely need to get some other shoes if you plan on working out.

Hi everyone, I placed this question in the womens section and I will have to ask this question regarding my?

right ovary. on the 28th of last moth I got an ultrasound and it showed 2 septated ovarian cysts and fluid in the pouch of Doglous, and last Monday I bleed soooooo much when it was not my period I almost hemeraged. No the cysts did not burst becasue I was told I would be in a lot more pain than I was. Now today I had another ultrasound internally and it showed fluid still in my right ovary and the septated cyts have gone and now there is fluid in my pelvis for the first time, and it shoed a simple cysts or a follicle. What the? I cannot understand this. 3 weeks ago it was a sus septated cysts not it has gone and now shows a differnet cyst wtih fluid in my pelivs as well as the ovary. Is it possible that ovarian cancer is hard to detect and that will wlll show free range fluid but things that look like a cysts. I mean to go from a spetated one to a simple one ar possilbe follicle has me confused. What is this? Will I need a biopsy? Is it possible that it is cancerous and the fluid has

Hi everyone, I placed this question in the womens section and I will have to ask this question regarding my?
The normal values for a CA-125 depend on the lab running the test. In general, levels above 35 U/ml are considered abnormal.

In pre-menopausal women, the test is less reliable as values are often elevated due to a number of non-cancerous causes, and a value above 35 is not necessarily a cause for concern.

Polycystic ovary syndrome is characterized by mild obesity, irregular menses or amenorrhea, and signs of androgen excess (hirsutism, acne). Typically, the ovaries contain multiple cysts. Diagnosis is by pregnancy testing, hormone level measurement, and imaging to exclude a virilizing tumor. Treatment is symptomatic.

Complications of PCOS:-

* Sterility

* Obesity-related conditions, like high blood pressure and diabetes

* Increased the risk of endometrial cancer -- this is because the endometrium (lining of the uterine wall that sheds when you menstruate) can get thicker and thicker (hyperplasia) due to the lack of ovulation

* Possible increased risk of breast cancer

Please see the web pages for more details on Cancer Antigen-125 and Polycystic ovary syndrome.

What would you do if your $60 shoes heel broke after only 2weeks and 3 days.... ?

I bought these all leather, pumps that cost $60 for work. At the same time I bought a pair of boots, and sandals as well. I was reffered to this girl (mid 20's) that sells shoes through a catalouge by a co-worker. She's had the boots shes bought for 1 year, and loves them. So I decided to splurge and bought 3 pair. The girl that sold them to me said I could pay 1/2 now, 1/2 later. My total was $218, and I paid her $114 on my paydate on the 16th of Feb. Well, last Fri while at my other job, I got up from my desk and the heel! snapped in two!! I was mortified. I've only wore them about 6 or 7 times. So I called her the next day, and she said she would come today to exchange them. When she arrived, she said that they are too scuffed up for me to exchange, and that i'm basically out of $60. Yes, I do admit that the bottoms are scuffed. But thats what happens when you wear heels and you walk on the side walk and payvment. I've had some shoes for $20 and they've lasted forever!

Help! wwudo?

What would you do if your $60 shoes heel broke after only 2weeks and 3 days.... ?
Sod that!!! Don't give her the rest of the money till she exchanges them. If she still refuses then pay the outstanding balance minus the $60 for the crappy shoes and give them back to her. Obviously the shoes are going to get scuffed, they should never have broken after wearing them a few times. You could maybe find out who she works for and get in touch with them. Did she give you a receipt? I would be well pissed if it was me and I certainly would not pay for them.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

You've asked her for the company's number and she refused, this shows that she knows she is in the wrong and doesn't want you to get in touch with her boss!! Tell her you are NOT going to pay for the shoes and that is final. It is up to her to explain it to her boss then and when she does her boss will have to get in touch with you and then you can explain your side of the story. Stick to your guns girl, don't let her rip you off!!!

As for your manager being her cousin...I cant say how this situation will affect your relationship but if it was me I wouldn't let it stop me from standing up for my rights!!
Reply:That she* works for. Forgot a word there lol Report It

Reply:Go to the manager of the store, tell him/her. The sqeeky wheel....

If all else fails, have it repaired, there are still good cobblers out there.
Reply:Ask the place that you purchased the shoes if you can exchange them for a new pair. Explain to the store what happened, if they won't exchange it then write to the manufacturer, most manufacturers stand behind their products and want to assure customer satisfaction.
Reply:try superglue
Reply:sell them on ebay i sol my old uggs for $150
Reply:Insist on getting your money back. If she is adamant and refuses, let her know that you won't be recommending any friends to her. That might be enough. If not, the only thing left that you can do is bring her to small claims court, which will cost you a fee, which you will get back if decision is in your favour, but will lose if not. Good Luck!
Reply:First of all as a guy I would never pay $60 for a pair of damned shoes to begin with.
Reply:Find out what company this girl works for and get the phone number. Call them and....if you can do it....be a b!*ch about the whole situation. I know this girl who's the most evil person I've ever met and she gets everything she wants because she either scares them or makes them so mad they give her what she wants so she'll go away. If you're like me and can't do that, try to be as stern as possible and threaten to call the Better Business Bureau. I never spend anymore than 50 bucks on shoes and never once had to deal with them breaking. To tell you the truth, the only shoes that really broke on me were a pair of docs that i paid over a hundred dollars for. But anyways, don't rest till you get your money back. And if I were you, I'd go ahead and get your money back for the other 2 pairs and never deal with them again. Good Luck!!
Reply:If you have a reciept when yo0u payed for the shoe's then you should be able to use that for the date of purchase and she should let you return them ask her if it was her what would she do.
Reply:Um, you have to bear the loss due to the wear and tear.

Not being rude but are you a bit heavy for the heels? Larger people should be aware that shoes can only support a certain amount of weight.

(I'm large and broke 3 pairs before I gave up LOL)
Reply:I would tell her that she WILL exchange them or she can be out the rest of her money that you owe her. That is bull crap to spend that much money and not even get to use them. Where is she I'll tell her :)lol
Reply:i would call that lady again %26amp; i would be like you sold me these crapy shoes %26amp; if you dont give me a refund or let me exchange them ill tell every one about the horrible quality of your shoes!
Reply:It happends, hopefully they didn't break you. Shoes break, cloths rip. Buy some more, or get them fixed at the shoe repair shop.
Reply:talk to the manager and ask her/him to give u half off on another pair of shoes.
Reply:talk with a kassler and **** the company that you buy that ****
Reply:First of all, never buy shoes again from a catalogue like that!

Now, for that pair she won't exchange, when you make your other payment to her, minus the $60 for the broken pair and give them back to her.
Reply:tell her thats what you get when your walking! scuffs! there are ways to make the bottoms of shoes not scuffed up. Tell her you got up from your desk and the heel snapped in 2! You were walking in them thats what shoes are 4!
Reply:i dont think theres anything you CAN do hun except for grazy glue the heel back on.... im sorry... :'-(
Reply:I would pay her the $ owed minus the $60 . If your out of shoes, she's out $60.

How many poetic devices do u see in my ode?

ode to shoes

Dear footwear

thou was so protective

of my feet.

I shall never forget

all memories created

while walking in you.

Your sole was as deep

as my soul.

You are

always there

protecting my feet.

You provide me

with more comfort

than I ever

could have imagined.

You unlike anything else

are always

there for me.

You've been with me

through the ups and down

the hills and the valleys

seen others come

and go

but you remained strong

and loyal

never causing me pain.

You are always

providing comfort

while your look

is always changing.

Whether it be with age

or a new style you

always surprise me.

You can be

a normal shoe or

perhaps even velcro

or even maybe a sandle

while your look may change

you never do.

Your elegant design

as beautiful

as the stars

Last but not least

is your protection

of my

feet.

How many poetic devices do u see in my ode?
"As beautiful as the stars" and "Your sole was as deep

as my soul" are examples of metaphors. There also is a little bit of rhyme, but no set scheme.

Since most girls are so scared to step on bugs do any girls actually enjoy squashing bugs and dont really?

care. If you are one of these girls who enjoys stepping on bugs, please describe the last incident when you did squash one and what shoes you were wearing.

Since most girls are so scared to step on bugs do any girls actually enjoy squashing bugs and dont really?
I don't remember the last time I did, but I am definitely one of those girls. I can tell you the best time I stepped on one, though...

I was in high school, and my school was FULL of preppy, prissy, giggly, annoying girls. We were sitting in the hall after gym waiting for the bell to ring. My friend and I were as close as possible to the entrance of the hall and I heard screaming coming from the other end. Well, apparently some cockroach had been crawling in, on or around some of the girls down there. They were screaming so hard it was hysterical! I walked over in my big leather boots, stomped on it, twisted my boot, looked at the one girl who was screaming the worst and said: "Stop being such a pu$$y!" and walked away. It was so freakin' funny, and that was one of the things I was remembered for in school. I am terrified of spiders, but cockroaches and other bugs do not bother me.
Reply:Ha, I squish my own bugs all the time. What's the big deal? It's not like you are touching them.

Last time I killed a bug was a cave cricket in my basement, I killed it with a mop. They are too big and freaky to step on.
Reply:My boyfriend won't let me step on bugs. I have to suck them up with the vacuum or capture them and put them outside. Pretty lame, huh.
Reply:As long as it's nothing huge, either I'll squash it or my cat will play with it. However, if it's something that's so big that it seems to cover my wall or if it's something poisonous (we have a bit of a centipede problem.. Eeewwwww), I leave that to my boyfriend.

The last time I killed a bug was when we had one of those huge water bugs crawling on my bedroom wall (YUCK!). I had to grab a flip-flop and give it a good whack. The big ones don't really scare me; it's just that I hate that crunching sound and feeling.
Reply:I hate squashing bugs .i don't think anyone enjoys squashing bugs .
Reply:Somebody's got a fetish!

For the last two weeks I have got small,purplish,numerous,non-it... spots on my feet. What are they?

They appeared after I started wearing new leather shoes but didn't disappear even after I stopped using them. There are hundreds of them ;all below the ankles. Each is about 3-4 mm in diameter.I am a mail student in my 20th year.

For the last two weeks I have got small,purplish,numerous,non-it... spots on my feet. What are they?
Does it look like this?

Picture: http://dermatology.about.com/library/blp...

Sounds like petechiae. COULD be from the leather shoes being too tight or restrictive, but it could also be due to illness.

http://www.umm.edu/ency/article/003235.h...

If there's no reason to suspect illness, you're probably okay, but it's probably best to have it checked anyway.
Reply:You need to see a podiatrist. It could be an allergy.

Hi all: okay this isn't a dream, its more of a superstition,?

for the last 2 weeks my shoe laces keep coming untied, this has never happened before. and i have always worn sneakers. i am pretty sure i tie my shoe laces tight.

any thoughts, no silly comments plz. i have heard them all

Hi all: okay this isn't a dream, its more of a superstition,?
%26gt;dream can be an answer to your problems...as what i see to your dream is shoe show ...it is something that carry you might be your job...studies...your assignment that is not yet resolve (untied)and it never happen to you you always assure that everything is on the the right track...you never leave anything that is not finished...

%26gt;so why don't check it out ...dream is just a whispher to your mind physically body ...

%26gt;sneakers is your regular shoes that you love to same to your daily life activities...

%26gt;superstition is a part of dream how to interact to dream...
Reply:are things in your life coming unraveled? the shoelaces are probably just you worrying excessively. is there something that you are really stressed about? try double-knotting them. wear shoes without laces to simplify things.
Reply:In addition to the other answers....

if this is a life hint, you simply may want to pay a little extra attention to the things you can do on auto-pilot... things like brushing your teeth, or dressing yourself, or doing math homework. Maybe an issue can be avoided by using a little extra care to detail.
Reply:DO EM UP TIGHTER.NEVER HAEDR OF SUPERSTICION WIV SHOES.
Reply:did this happen in your dream or in real life it keeps happening?

if its in real life, you probably feel overwhelmed and helpless. As if everything you do or touch falls apart. talk to someone about it.
Reply:You know, it could mean something as simple as you need new laces. Switch to Velcro or no-tie laces.

What do the following behaviors in ur b/friend mean?

Over the last couple of months my b/friend has really really changed compared to how he used to be when we hooked up. He is suddenly:

- more design-aware

- more brand-conscious

than most girls - myself included. When we hooked up all I saw was this pizazz %26amp; allure but now he also has way better grooming than me!! (how can a man have heaps better grooming than a woman??). Lastly he won't wear any shoes unless their Italian. I'm so sure he is so gay.............wat do guys/girls think??

What do the following behaviors in ur b/friend mean?
instead of asking people on here about YOUR bf why dont you just ask him yourself? just because a man likes to look good does not automatically mean he's gay... but we dont know him so there is a chance he is, or maybe just wants to look good for you ?
Reply:Maybe he's just vain! Ask him

HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!What can be done about discoloration left after corns are gone off your feet?

I am asking because this is very serious for me. I really want to wear flip flops this summer, but the discoloration from the corns that were on my pinky toes are still there. Not just that but I feel really insecure about it and I dont want my fiance to see my feet at all. I am tired of wearing shoes that cover my two pinky toes...I want to wear flip flops or atleast get over the pain of knowing I have pretty feet just the last two toes have the little circles there! HELP

HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!What can be done about discoloration left after corns are gone off your feet?
You know wut you can try if you want to help the discolration? Natural Glow daily moisturizer by Jergens.

You can find them at a normal drug store

I think that shoes that close up around the pinky toes and big toes are cute!

but if you want to wear flip flops use lotions like those, they really work!

good luck. and im sorry bout your situation. I know how it feels to feel insecure about feet lol

Need advice-fixing my relationship with my 11 year old son?

This morning after a multitude of frustrations that have been building slowly but exponentially the last two months I had the proverbial "straw" and "camel's back" situation and when my son told me for the 3rd time he needed to go to grandma's to get his shoes I snapped and told him I was taking care of it, like I was taking care of making sure 4 kids were fed and clothed and had a house and that I got to work at some point and that I was taking care of it and everything, etc (fill in crazy tirade here). Then, after I dropped the formula back at the daycare for the 3 month old I told him I was sorry and he didn't derserve me yelling all that to him and I didn't know how I could ensure he had a good day, but that is truly what I wanted for him. Then I spent the 15 minute drive to grandma's crying.

I know he felt bad, but this is not his burden and I just feel like such a failure, I don't know what to say to him when I pick him up after work. Any advice?

Need advice-fixing my relationship with my 11 year old son?
I think apologizing is really the best thing. You don't want to over-compensate by buying something - or going over on the other end - it would probably just confuse him or set a standard.

Later just say. . .I am very sorry. Mom is a little stressed out right now and I want you to know that it isn't your fault and I love you very much.
Reply:So glad to hear it! :D Report It

Reply:I would tell him that I was sorry and Adults sometimes do that when they are very busy trying to get things done.
Reply:lmao crying over shouting at your son. my mum beats me and yells at me for no reason sometimes i just move dont make a big deal out of it.
Reply:First, forgive yourself. Then give your son a hug. They're a lot stronger than we often give them credit for.
Reply:He's 11 years old, and you've already blurted out most of your problems. You might as well just be honest with him. Take him out for food he likes somewhere and tell him, talk to him like you would us... Explain that you're overwhelmed sometimes with all you have to do, and that sometimes it feels like you don't have enough time to take care of everyone that depends on you. Tell him that you're sorry and it was wrong of you make it feel like it was his fault or to even bring those things up, but that since you already have you feel the need to explain yourself.

Let him know you want him to enjoy being a kid and maybe you could give him a coupon to blow up at you with his feelings just ONCE with your forgiveness. (Hopefully he'll never use it, but if he does, honor it.)

He knows you're having a hard time, you can't hide it from him any more.
Reply:Actually, I think that it's good for a child of his age to see, once in a great while, that life is frustrating for adults, too. Not to assume, but it sounds like you are completely overwhelmed and could use some help. This could be a good opportunity to explain what happened, and let him know that you are exhausted and need his help. You could "make over" the relationship a little, and let him know that now that he is a little older you could use his help a little more (11 is an age to take on a little responsibility), things like keeping track of his own stuff, or taking out the trash and helping with the dishes could be done in exchange for a small allowance. It isn't your responsibility to "fix" the relationship, or to make sure he has a good day, for the type of day he has is truly up to him, and your relationship will be fine as long as you love each other. Communication and family relationships are two way streets. We women often take on too much responsibility in a relationship, such as making sure that everything is done for everyone else, and there is nothing left for ourselves. This is when we explode! So, learn to delegate a little and then there might be something left for you.

Good luck.
Reply:When your running around doing all that it's tough. Maybe you could take him for ice-cream, just the two of you. Let him know sometimes when your a grown-up things are a little crazy, and you never ment to hurt his feelings. Maybe you could call the school, and talk to him. My son's teacher has a phone in her class. I've had to call, and apologize for things myself. I know it made his day to get a phone call in class.
Reply:Why do you have to say anything? Parents are human. That's the reality. We all have good and bad days. That's another reality. Life sucks...that's a major reality.

I need comfy fashionable shoes for walking around New York? Any suggestions?

I need some comfy walking shoes for when i go to New York next month. I went to London last year only for 3 days and by the end of the trip i could barely walk after wearing pumps. My calves, ankles and the balls of my feet were causing me agony. I'm going to New York for a week so need something that will be comfy and will last.

I need something supportive but which will also look ok with cropped trousers and skirts.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks, Lea x

I need comfy fashionable shoes for walking around New York? Any suggestions?
Fashionable but comfy to walk around in brands:

Clarks, Born, Kenneth Cole Reaction, Geox, and DKNY.

Take a look at all the shoes on www.zappos.com, they have so many shoes to choose from and the best return policy ever.
Reply:I just walked ten days through Italy. No pretty heels will work if you are truly out and about. However, a plain black or tan pair of Merrell or Columbia will look good enough and feel incredible. I opted for a tan pair of Columbia because they were waterproof (Venice Italy) and had a tempurpedic like insole. (Adding a Magellen insole to other shoes helps a lot too.) Go to a large shoe store and try on several styles of these two brands. However, if you are truly worried about being fashionable--- i.e. you're going with a new boyfriend or intend to find one- you'll just have to be uncomfortable.
Reply:I don't know if they're still available but I have a pair of Kenneth Cole mules in gold that have a sneaker bottom, but is dressier than a sneaker. Also if you actually need a comfortable heel that is not a sneaker style at all, I bought these at Kohl's and walk in them a lot every day and have found them to be very comfortable.

Are converse bad..?

I dont know what shoes to get, I dont really ever get shoes, the last pair of shoes i used to get they dont make them anymore.

So im pretty much lost as what to get.

Are converse bad..?
Converse are very popular good quality shoes, they're also exceedingly comfy, converse are great =] Maybe get a pair of those!
Reply:I wear black converse low tops and no they are not bad as long as you dont have flat feet because the soles are completely flat. They're great for everyday wear, but you should wear something with more support when running or playing a sport

converse are awesome

you could also try vans!

go to their website and design your own
Reply:Well, as we know there flat at the core of the bottom, similar to flats. Which a flat core to the shoe is not a good structure toward you're ballence and back, yet I still wear them. They might be uncomforable to wear at first but you'll get used to them, converse is not a bad idea but they can hurt you're feet. There not bad, there is effects but who knows I don't think they occur to all, overall no converse is not a bad choice. I suggest you get them there still modern and they used them in gym, in previous years. So if you're a person who either leans toward that style and likes them I suggest you get them. If you're not satified you can always try for other brands, like nice, adidas/ect, Good luck

Reply:I believe you mean the Converse All-Stars (or "Chuck Taylors"), they're definitely not made like they used to be. And they're not made in the in the USA anymore, but they stil look fantastic. I do think that the comfort and quality are not as good as they used to be, but they are still some of the best looking shoes ever. They're not very foot friendly, so if you live in them, opt for a pair of inserts! Your back will thank you!
Reply:i love converses i always buy them they are really good and if you want to buy white they sell it in leather aswel if your not very good at keeping them clean go along to office or off spring or any shop that sellls them and try them on and see if you like them theres all kinds

IS MY MATE ACTING LIKE A SILLY cow?
If you didn't know she was selling the exact same shoes at the same time then she just needs to get over it. Stuff happens and there are enough people on ebay that they'll both sell.

If you listed hers at the same time as hers though and you knew she had them listed, it might have been nice to wait until her auction ended.

Question about ballet pointe shoes?

What do you know about the Grishko Fouette ballet pointe shoes, and how do you know which one to choose. My girlfriend had a Capezio ones but they didn't last too much.

Question about ballet pointe shoes?
Pointe shoes are scary things and, sometimes, you will never find one that fits you perfectly. I have been on pointe for six years and have gone through many types of shoes. My experience with Grishko shoes was not a pleasant one, but that doesn't mean your girlfriend's will be. For me, the shoes would never quite break in, and then all of a sudden they snapped in half! This may be true for me, but I know plenty of dancers whose feet look amazing in Grishkos. The only thing your girlfriend can really do to find a good shoe for her foot is to try many different pairs over time, find one that works, and stick with it. The structure of the foot can change, so she might have to change her shoe style from time to time too. Bottom line: Ballet is unnatural. It forces you to put wierd strains on your body. I mean, come on! When else in your life do you have to spin on your toes? Pointe shoes are unnatural too. None will fit you exactly right, so you have to work with them to make them work for you. Study the different brands. Usually they have a description of the shoe and with it a suggestion of what kind of foot works best with the shoe. Bloch, Grishko, Capezio, Gaynor Minden, Sansha, Freed, or the many others. Don't take suggestions from other dancers who have personally worn the shoe and who swear by it. Your feet will be different and the shoe will work in a different way for you. Have fun experimenting!
Reply:To be honest, I really don't know. But I've been on pointe for a few years now, and I can give you advice on weather a shoe is good for your girlfriend. Ask her about some shoes she'd like and then ask about her arch and her level of diffculity on pointe. Sometimes a shoe my LOOK good, but it may not BE good for a certian person. It just depends on her diffcuilty level and how high her arch is.
Reply:honestly, i've never tried anything besides Russian Pointes. but none of my friends use Grishko often. Capezio suck though, so tell her to never buy those again. from the sound of it, i think its the type of shoe that you would use to hop on pointe with. or support your foot a lot. i found this, if it helps, check it out:

http://shop.justforkix.com/prodinfo.asp?...

hope i helped yall.
Reply:Well Grishko tends to make their pointe shoes alike. I have the Grishko 2007's and highly recommend them. My foot is tapered and somewhat wide. They lasted a LONG time! Grishko has very nice pointe shoes so I would try those. Plus I broke mine in really fast.

Also, I want to say. Don't get Chacotts unless you love pain. And Bloch's are great but very hard to break in.

What do you think the message is?

'll tell you the story of Cloony the Clown

Who worked in a circus that came through town.

His shoes were too big and his hat was too small,

But he just wasn't, just wasn't funny at all.

He had a trombone to play loud silly tunes,

He had a green dog and a thousand balloons.

He was floppy and sloppy and skinny and tall,

But he just wasn't, just wasn't funny at all.

And every time he did a trick,

Everyone felt a little sick.

And every time he told a joke,

Folks sighed as if their hearts were broke.

And every time he lost a shoe,

Everyone looked awfully blue.

And every time he stood on his head,

Everyone screamed, "Go back to bed!"

And every time he made a leap,

Everybody fell asleep.

And every time he ate his tie,

Everyone began to cry.

And Cloony could not make any money

Simply because he was not funny.

One day he said, "I'll tell this town

How it feels to be an unfunny clown."

And he told them all why he looked so sad,

And he told them all why he felt so bad.

He told of Pain and Rain and Cold,

He told of Darkness in his soul,

And after he finished his tale of woe,

Did everyone cry? Oh no, no, no,

They laughed until they shook the trees

With "Hah-Hah-Hahs" and "Hee-Hee-Hees."

They laughed with howls and yowls and shrieks,

They laughed all day, they laughed all week,

They laughed until they had a fit,

They laughed until their jackets split.

The laughter spread for miles around

To every city, every town,

Over mountains, 'cross the sea,

From Saint Tropez to Mun San Nee.

And soon the whole world rang with laughter,

Lasting till forever after,

While Cloony stood in the circus tent,

With his head drooped low and his shoulders bent.

And he said,"THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT -

I'M FUNNY JUST BY ACCIDENT."

And while the world laughed outside.

Cloony the Clown sat down and cried.

What do you think the message is?
People find other people's misfortunes funny
Reply:people are evil
Reply:Either people flat out suck, or don't try too hard to be something, because you won't be very good at it.
Reply:Well..It mainly talks about nobody really listening to the clowns problem and when he talks about it nobody takes it honestly because hes a clown and they think he means it in a funny way..In other words Nobody really listens to what you have to say!

Thats the best I can think of!

Has a stray dog ever picked you for their owner?

Prayer of a Strayhttp://ra.nilenet.com/~gaska/dogpray1.ht...

Dear God please send me somebody who'll care!
I'm tried of running, I'm sick with despair.
My body is aching, it's so racked with pain,
and dear God I pray as I run in the rain.
That someone will love me and give my a home.
A warm cozy bed and a big juicy bone.
My last owner tied me all day in the yard
Sometimes with no water and God that was hard!
So I chewed my leash God and I ran away
To rummage in garbage and live as a stray.
But now God I'm tired and hungry and cold.
And I'm so afraid that I'll never grow old.
They've chased me with sticks and hit me with stones
While I run the streets just looking for bones!
I'm not really bad God, please help if you can,
For I have become just a "victim of man!"
I'm wormy dear God and I'm ridden with fleas and
All that I want is an owner to please!
If you find one for me God, I'll try to be good
And I won't chew their shoes, but I'll do as I should.
I'll love them, protect them %26amp; obey.

Has a stray dog ever picked you for their owner?
I love your poem. I am a stray dog magnet. Cats too. A friend of mine says that dogs and cats can feel that I love them no matter who they are or where they came from.
Reply:Many!

They always seem to find their way to me.
Reply:Never a dog. Many times a cat. (Usually pregnant!)
Reply:Lots of times! We live in a very rural area and dogs are dumped here often. We can't keep them all, but we take them in, vet them and find homes for as many as we can. Sometimes we keep them for months before they find their perfect home. Wish we could keep them all but that is not possible. We have 2 mixed breeds that have found their permanent home with us along with our chihuahuas.
Reply:A few over the years, but I've almost always found their owners within a few days - I would have been happy to keep them if I'd been in a situation to do so at the time.

That's a lovely poem - maybe if we taught things like that in schools instead of "classics" there'd be a bit more compassion to go around.
Reply:no but i know that it has happened to people. i know a guy who owns a shop and a dog came in and stayed.
Reply:Love those animals one and all! The inner city which basically consists of blacks and spanish treat them like the garbage and thats why they are strays! How dare they and stiffer fines should be installed as well as jail time as if neglecting an infant! Dont you people get it! You are supposed to take care of them and God will take care of you for abusing and neglecting them! I have a cat that calls me home now and I am a dog lover but let her stay cause God gave me compassion unlike the scum that neglects and hurts these poor things! I love your prayer and send it to AL Sharpton so maybe he can send it to his people and they might grow a soul!
Reply:yes lot of them....but it might just be because i feed them and birds and every other living thing that comes by
Reply:Yes my first dog, Caesar, he was a Shep. Mix. He was a stray at just 4 months old!

What do you think D Wade should do?

Put urself in his shoes. Do i wait 6 weeks and hope the Heat make the playoffs and see what i can do. Or do i have surgery and see the rest of the season slip away into garbage time. Remember he just won the championship last season so that will influence his decision. I am hoping like every1else he plays again this season, if the Heat have luck then mayb they can do something. U never know.

What do you think D Wade should do?
the most important thing to do by the miami heat even with out d - wade all the players must step up.. especially the big fellow... the best thing that wade can do is to be on his tip top shape and hopefully he can come back with a vengeance!
Reply:play in their next game so he gets hurt and dosent play next year.

the real story is jamal crawford's injury. he should get surgery, so he'll be back for a 6th man of the year award next year.

and screw wade's injury compared to Shaun Livingston's holy ****, his knee turned all the way around. he tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL
Reply:if he keeps playin he could get permenent damage, or chronic disorder in his arm
Reply:Definitely he should wait and recover properly. The Heat are going to make the playoffs, so I rather have him there than anywhere else.
Reply:Here it is. He has a bad injury one they already tell him will need a surgical repair. If he rests it now and with therapy comes back and plays before having the surgery it would help the heat. But ,and this is a couple of big buts, will he help the heat to the playoffs and what are his chances of re-injuring his shoulder. I do not feel that he could make a difference in the heats season. I think that by the time he could come back this year will be lost. Re-injury is a definite possibility. Other players will try to get his shoulder. If I were him I would have the surgery now. Get the repair made, take all the time I need for therapy and come back next year fit and ready to go. With luck there will be other years for championships.
Reply:Dwayne Wade can probably muster up more championships, because the field is rapidly changing from year to year. He shouldn't jeopardize that opportunity by getting back out there too early. He should do what is best for his personal health, even though it might mean not playing the rest of this season. There are no guarantees this year or any year and he'll have to remember that.
Reply:I'm not a East Coast guy, but he's so dynamic to the future of the league ... I think he needs to shut it down, take the surgery, and come back next year better then ever. And then the Sun's need to get him when he becomes a free agent and Nash retires.
Reply:If I were to put myself into Wade's shoes, I would go with the surgery and end my season, even if that means that the Heat will not make the playoffs.

You said it best: he just won the championship. It's not like he's in a position where his window is closing...he's already won. Why risk furthur trouble and future injury if you're a guy with his talent. I say rest the shoulder and come back stronger next year.
Reply:get surgery, not worth risking having problems in the future for 1 season. plus this season is obviously a mess from the beginning so i say move on and just work for next season. altho i can see wade not having it, unfortunately because he prob wants to help his team real bad, and we've all seen it before...him play his best after coming back from injuries...plus hes a true competitor. so who knows, but to me its not worth risking at this point, especially if in the end miami doesn't even make it to the playoffs.
Reply:the heat are screwed without him and you know it...
Reply:Of course he should have the surgery! I mean he is too young and has too much potential to throw away his career. You really never know what might happen, he could get hit and have a career ending injury, and we know that Wade is a top 3 Guard in the NBA, if not a top 5 player! The Heat are done this year, he should wait til next year, probably not play over the summer just to relax and work on his three point shot (lol) If this were possible, I'd have Shaq sit out the rest of the season and have all the role players get better for next year, but i dont think that this is possible, so Wade have surgery and get better, Shaq just relax and play less minutes so you will be ready for next year, and role players! increase you're skills when you have the chance to (kapono) He might have an amazing 3 point shot, but he needs to have a better all-around game. But wade should defiantly have the surgery and not risk anything!
Reply:D-Wade needs to keep his mouth shut about your future MVP, Dirk.

The NBA has been showcasing this guy unlike anybody else in the league.

Karma has a way of getting you.

But if his injury is something that is going to require surgery regardless of a 6-8 week rehab, then he should definitely have the surgery. If the injury is not repaired he could damage it further and that would be a greater risk to his future.

Even if he could make it back for the playoffs, the Heat more than likely won't be there. And he would be too rusty and the chemistry would be off for it to be a successful return.

Miami can't beat Detroit this year with everybody healthy, let alone w/ D-Wade coming back after and 8 week layoff.

Sorry y'all, Miami is done!
Reply:I think he should have the surgery. It's not worth rushing back and risking your career and Miami isn't going to win the championship with him this year anyway.

Ballroom dance shoes??? I need help!?

Okay, I have been using a pair of $15 regular high heels for dancing the past 3 months because I was saving up for a good pair of ballroom dance shoes. Now that I have the money (and my feet hurt) I don't know where to buy a good pair of shoes that will last me for a while. Can anyone help me??

Ballroom dance shoes??? I need help!?
Are you looking for Latin (sandals) or Standard (court) or Social shoes (closed toe, but made like a sandal everywhere else)?

It is the best if you can find a local dance shoe store. Fitting your first pair is important. It's not trivial at all.

If that is not possible, you can order from the internet, but make sure they have good return policies, in case you need to return them.

You need something that will be comfortable, not only look good. In general, anything with pointed toe looks slimming, and anything with straps that wrap around the ankle and close at the ankle. In sandals, strappy sandals look more slimming than those with one piece of fabric forming the whole toebox. I find strappy sandals more comfortable, too, because the straps will move a little bit to conform to your foot.

Look into the brand called International. They are the only brand I know that makes shoes with different width without "special order". I have unusually narrow feet, I know it's a headache (or foot-ache?) to have unusual feet. This is the brand I wear. They last me about a year with moderate use (3 times a week) and taking good care of them. It is a professional quality shoe. You can find them on http://www.dancesport.uk.com

Also look into the brand Stephanie. Especially look at their adjustable 2-buckle design. I think they have it on the front page http://www.featherdanceshoes.com If you're a student they have student discount. Their shoes are one step below professional quality in my opinion, but they are cheaper, too. They will last for a while, but probably a little shorter lifetime than International or Supadance. They are softer than Int or Supa, which is a big plus at the beginning, but this is why they wear out sooner.

Whatever you buy, do not, I repeat, do not buy Capezio. Their shoes don't have proper shank in ladies ballroom shoes. In general, you want a shoe with metal shank. It will protect your feet from injuries and will make your shoe last longer.

I can post more details, but I don't know what would be helpful. I can explain more about fittings or more about styles/brands. But if you can - specify if you have narrow/wide ankle, deep or shallow ankle, if you have big arch/small arch/no arch.
Reply:e-bay or get them cutom made
Reply:well for ur wide feet, try a pair of slimmer shoes tht ur feet may fit into, but they could be really uncomfy and give u blisters and everything, so just thank god for all he's given you and just be blessed tht u have feet unlike some very unfortunate people. try stores tht specialize in dancing shoes, or something, or ask ur dance director if she reccomends any, because tht will be a very reliable source.
Reply:Since you ask, I'm guessing this will be your first pair, and there's no store carrying them in your area. If that's the case, I'd suggest you buy your first pair through your dance studio. It will be a bit more expensive that way, and after the first you can buy on-line, but even with completely average feet, you'll have a different experience from buying street shoes. You can't walk around and try them out. Once you've mussed the sueded soles, you've bought them, so you have to get it right in a hurry. Also, many of them are English, and you'll need English size 5 or thereabouts.
Reply:I get all my shoes from Toe to Toe. They are in Michigan but travel throughout the country going to shows. I always wait till they come to Chicago which is often and I buy a pair each time because I wear them out to quickly. They have a large assortment of styles and colors an if you know what you are looking for call them ahead of time and they will bring some to the show. Dance shoes are not cheap, you could expect to pay $120 and up but they are worth it. Check them out.

And when I woke up to get ready for work, I couldn't find my shoes anywhere. So I'm guessing they got left at a bar or lost somewhere on the walk home. So now I have to go to work without shoes today. How many people have lost there shoes during a night of drinking?

Where is the mildew in my clothes schrank is coming from.?

Hi am an American service member living in Germany. Last summer I discovered that some of my shoes had mildew in them. (new shoes) I took them out cleaned them and left them out. Later I found some of my clothes as well were mildew. Can some one tell me how to get rid of this problem??? I have Asthma and it bothers me a lot. My schrank is next to an outside wall, there is nothing wet inside or damp. Please help me. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

A soldier in Deutchland

Where is the mildew in my clothes schrank is coming from.?
There is humidity getting into your stuff, causing the mildew. That said, if there are black spots on your clothing and in your shoes, they are there permanently. You can wash them dozens of times and it will not come out. Most people end up discarding clothing/shoes which have mildew because of the smell they retain.
Reply:I've heard that chalk will absorb the moisture

Good luck

i had a brand new pair of shoes back last summer, they were nike shox to be exact and i had only wore them like for 2 hours at the most, well a girl stole them out of my car simply because she had a problem with me...now i am dating the girls brother, i told him about it and he hasn't even apologized for his sisters actions...which i think that would be a nice thing to do... i would apologize for something my brother or sister did to someone... now i may be wrong, but shouldn't he have at least said sorry for that?

thanks yall :)

I want someone elses point of view on this?
Uh no he doesn't have to say sorry at all. He should steal them back for you though
Reply:Yah.. I agree with you. I mean technically, he didn't do anything wrong, but I know exactly where you're coming from. At least he coulda say, "I'm sorry my sister did that, that was so uncalled for" or something like that. I'm sure he thought it was horrible what she did, but maybe he just doesn't express it like most people would.
Reply:First yes...but :). If you are really bothered by it you should realize apples dont fall far from the tree. He probably did not apologize because he didnt think it was wrong. If you are ok with that, then you should be ok with missing shoes too.

end 2 cents.
Reply:No he was probably to embarassed for his sisters actions and did not think about what to do.

:) Hope That Helps

Reply:Uhm no. That had nothing to do with him. You are really petty.
Reply:i want u to come up to that girl and slap her til she goes black she has no right to do that
Reply:this issue is between you and that girl dont really bring your bf into this
Reply:no. that's not his fault. what if he doesn't even get along with his sister like that?

ok well i bought these shoes like last year brand new from goodwill. they kinda look like clown shoes on me right now, but i might grow into them by next year or in a few months. as my feet get a tiny bit bigger. i just wanted to know if u like the look of the shoes. they are adidas. and they look like the picture except for the black thing in front. instead they are like a tan brown.

Reply:no not really
Reply:there kinda cute.

my feet look likke clown feet sometimes too.

:]]
Reply:I don't think it look great for girl, and it to high, and the black thing cover in the front, it not looking good, i think you should go to finish line and looking some greater shoes, that is just my opinion about the shoe.
Reply:To be honest, I'm not really digging them. The stripe in the front (gray in the pic) is not doing anything for me (don't know if that's on your shoe or not), and they look a bit chunky. But I think that in tan, they would definitely look good with a pair of long jeans (to reduce the bulkiness they seem to have in the pic).
Reply:they're ok...not my fave but it's ur shoes...i mean, if u like them go rite ahead!! its ur decision 2!! u dont need 2 ask me!
Reply:yes i like them
Reply:Well they look like normal tenis shoes.

But the color sounds cute. :]
Reply:I'll be honest- i don't like them.

To me they look more like guys shoes sorry

Reply:I didn't get your question. I guess you were wondering how we think they look like? They look fine to me! =) Have fun wearing them.
Reply:theyre cool but I dont think youre feet will grow that much in a year.... unless you wear sandals everyday.... wearing sandals makes your feet grow faster

Removing plastic bottoms in cleats?

Are there any alternatives to using the black twisty thing they give you? They get worn out so fast I didn't notice until it seemed too late to get them out with it once again, I thought I'd be fine because I got them out when they were really low last time. I have one left on my shoe and was wondering if there was anyway to get them out. I don't want to get new cleats...and I can't play with one crappy one and other new ones. Will I have to put the old ones back in and just play the rest of the season like that or is there a trick to getting it out?

Removing plastic bottoms in cleats?
I always hated when Linemen would bring us their practice shoes and ask us to change out the spikes they had been wearing for 3-4 weeks. It was a very rare occasion for us to get all the spikes removed with just a plastic wrench in those cases.

There are a couple things you can do in your case, and it certainly doesn’t involve leaving one bad spike in the cleat. First things first; toss out those free plastic wrenches they give you when you buy the cleats. They suck. Get a good steel cleat wrench, you’ll be able to remove spikes that the plastic wrench won’t. (Here is an example of one: http://www.morleyathletic.com/images/M16...

If the steel wrench doesn’t work, all it will take is a little elbow grease. Get yourself a nice pair of Locking Pliers. (They look like this:http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stor...

These things have a little vice clamp on them so you can lock them on the spike as tight as possible, since the spike is useless anyway it won’t hurt anything.

If you still can’t get it, then you can cut away the plastic part of the cleat with whatever shears you have handy. This will reveal a screw (usually a Phillips head) and you can try your hand with a screwdriver or once again try the Locking Pliers, locking them directly on the screw this time.

Hopefully it will only take a good set of Locking Pliers, but either way never throw away a good pair of cleats because of one bad spike; the toughest of spikes can definitely be removed with a little bit of patience.

Good shoes for tennis?

i want to find a good pair of shoes that i can wear while playing tennis that will last a long time. i had gotten a pair for this year but they already have a hole in them i think i tend to drag my feet when i run and then stop to hit so what are some good shoes that will last a while and arent very expensive..can you give me links?

Good shoes for tennis?
Nike seems to last quite long for me. I like them. Tennis Warehouse has lots of Nike to choose from. But they are not cheap. Good luck :)

Reply:I would go with Adidas. Pick a shoe that has a six month out sole warranty. If they start to wear and tear you ship them back and then they send you a new pair. I usually purchase mine from tenniswarehouse.com. They always have good sales on shoes if you don't want to spend a lot of money.
Reply:Two long lasting brands for Tennis is K-Swiss and New Balance. Adidas is very good too. Check out footlocker
Reply:adidas

shoes are mad nice holdin up well offer great support and are light as well for footwork only 60 bucks too rather than 120
Reply:Lindsey try NewBalance they make great shoes and in varied widths. Now I don't know what size you wear and chances are you may not know either. Head into a NewBalance store and have your feet measured and fitted with the proper size tennis shoe. If it is normal width then you may be able to buy other brands of shoe but for those of use with wider or narrower feet NewBalance is the best for fitment. Their tennis shoes are great for wear and some have a 6 month wear out guarantee that you should ask about. If you wear out the soul within 6 months they replace the shoes. The best for tennis are...
Reply:i htink adidas tennis shoes are the best i just recently got a new pair as my other ones were getting a bit out of use and they definetly served me well.

there have a lot of support and are made to fit well.

hope i could help

Mother Goose Shoes Corporation?

There used to be a shoe store that you could try on shoes and look into a viewer and see how close your toes were to the end of the shoes. I was wondering if anyone that used to work in these shoe stores is still alive given their use of unshielded X-Ray machines. I saw an old pair of Mother Goose Shoes on e-Bay last week that were made in the 1950's, and two shoe boxes that had fairy tales aound the outside of the box. So, my questions are: 1. Does anyone else remember this company, and 2. What happened to the corporation?

Mother Goose Shoes Corporation?
I don't remember them but I remember my parents forcible pushing my feet into Buster Brown shoes every sunday so I'd look like a "little gentleman", never mind if I walked with a limp from all the blisters.

Anyhow, I think mother goose was owned by Kessler Marketing and then spun off into a private company. Here is where they are now:

A lie can travel halfway round the world before the truth has got its shoes on?

Whose quote is this and can you give an example from the last five years of world history ?

A lie can travel halfway round the world before the truth has got its shoes on?
The most obvious example was the 'war' on Iraq - almost all of the pro-war arguments were based on untrue 'evidence'.

The idea is a valid one, because information needs to be beneficial to somebody, in order to be propagated 'globally'. Untrue information is both easier to come by, and easier to profit from, than truth.

The original quote is probably from Mark Twain, and summarised the concept better by saying "... WHILE the truth is putting its shoes on" (ie preparing its material properly).

The more vague version using 'before' and 'boots', is usually attributed to the UK Prime minister Jim Callaghan (although his script-writer had probably taken it from some other, less prominent, contemporary speaker; this is normally how politicians get their 'finger on the pulse').
Reply:Lie is seductive and has the undoubtable strength of potential doubt and possibility factor for existence which makes it travel like high speed data transfer (as we do in internet chatting worldwide) while the truth could become powerful only after its acceptance! So the saying goes as you said !
Reply:We could easily rename this forum "poetry" for all the attempts.
Reply:Only place I have come across that quote is in a Fiction book! And it was Boots, not shoes.

It's a great book too!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/05521...

And Saddam having weapons of mass destruction capable of being deployed in 40mins is probably the best example in the last 5 years!
Reply:No idea whose behind the quote, but I gotta say this... Let's just celebrate by having a "Cyber Trash" party! We can take care of changing the next five years of history while we're at it! LOL @;}
Reply:Philosophy would say that there is no truth and that all history is a lie. There is no example of anything in history as nothing is happening. You believe in history because you were told to.

What type of Physical Therapy is best for a recovering Ruptured Achilles Tendon Following Surgery?

I ruptured on Aug. 12 and had surgery on Aug.18. Began PT this past tues on November 28th. after 15 weeks. Was in a walking boot for the past 7 weeks and weight bearing the last 3 before PT began. I am now in shoes but have a bad limp and walk VERY slowly. My incision is bearly visible as my doctor said that I have healed beautifully. I just hope the tendon has healed as well as the incision. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

What type of Physical Therapy is best for a recovering Ruptured Achilles Tendon Following Surgery?
Healing continues on even after the incision is healed. If you are going to a qualified Physical Therapist he/she will be your best resource. Make sure the PT you are seeing has experience in treating your kind of injury. One of the first steps they should take is improving the mobility of the tendon, improving your flexibility and normalizing your walking pattern. The most likely reason you continue to limp is the shortening of the muscle/tendon does not allow for normal walking mechanics. This will improve over time. Just remember you had surgery and was in a cast and walking boot for quite a long time. Patience and perserverance as well as team work with your Physical Therapist will pay off!!!
Reply:Your Physical Therapist you first went to 3 days ago should have given you handout papers with diagrams showing exercises you can perform at home. Call him or on your next visit request these.

A licensed physical therapist who is treating you is your best source for an answer to your question.
Reply:Your TA should have healed nicely by now, 3 months after, provided the surgery was done properly. The best physical therapy for you should be a supervised one. You cannot do this by yourself. Forget the suggestions you may get here, believe me.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Since when does being a reality series reject make you a foreign policy expert?

Ok I understand we all have our opinions about politics and foreign policy. But how can a reality series reject become crowned the All Knowing Foreign Policy Advisor and Conservative Opinion Poster Child? She married a third rate quarterback and obviously wasn't a super successful shoe designer so where did she learn all her Defense Strategy for America's DOD. The whole bit about well "if we tell the other team where we are throwing the ball how is that supposed to help us win the game." This was in response to comments on the View about Troop withdrawl deadlines. Gee Elizabeth that sounds so smart. Did your third string QB hubby tell you that? Maybe he should be our next Sec. of Defense. Last time I checked there are no winners in WAR. Fox News thinks she the bees knees. Its sad that we have raised this woman to a position of real smarts. ABC you need to rethink your hostess line up on The View. You lost some real talent with Merideth, Star and Rosie.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Since when does being a reality series reject make you a foreign policy expert?
Hasselbeck and Odonell are about as credible as Paris Hilton. Even scarier is the people who actually watch this crap.
Reply:It doesn't make her a foreign policy expert.

That doesn't make Star and Rosie any better though.

Star and Rosie are real talent?.....Don't get out much, do you?
Reply:Yawn. I think they are all a bunch of idiots. Rosie for her 9/11 conspiracy crap, and Elisabeth for her failure to understand the difference between Al Queda and Iraq.

Honestly, I hope the shows ratings tank. There is no reason people should watch this garbage. What I've seen have simply been the snippets in the news.
Reply:i think it's hilarious. but what do i know? it's entertainment, don't take it so seriously. of course it bends weak minds, what doesn't? just remember, this is a gurl that eats worms or some sorta nasty sheet.. remember seeing her with a mouthful of gross? same story different day.
Reply:Well, you sure seem to have it correct, as far as you go! Please tell me ANYONE who works for Bush that is a "Policy Expert"? Theft expert maybe!

Bush is so bad, he drug up David Stockman's Voodoo Economics as a way to steal from the poor, again.

It didn't work for Reagan, it hasn't worked for Bush, and it will never work for anyone. Thinking that stealing from the poor to give to the rich in hopes that it trickles back down to those you stole it from is at the height of hypocrisy! The only thing keeping this administration afloat is corporate welfare, a war, and 3 1/2 TRILLION dollars in additional debt. It sure didn't go to the poor!

Even I could build an economy on 3 1/2 trillion cards!
Reply:Ummmm...stupid question because when did being a comedian give you a right to the same opinion...Rosie?
Reply:It's called "The View". All of the women are just regular people giving their view. Rosie had no political background.

Sounds like Elizabeth has really hit a nerve with you....
Reply:Since Rosie became an expert on the same subject.

Of course anybody who argues with a lib has to be wrong in the eyes of libs.

What are the best skateboarding shoes?

i'm thinking about Adio. i need grip and durability. i've had vans, airwalks, and globes. the vans and airwalks lasted about 3 months. the globes were best so far. I'm not rich so dont say anything crazy.

What are the best skateboarding shoes?
Id say, go with either Fallens, Es, or Emerica's. Fallen Rippers are very durable and have excillent board feel and their volcanized outersole holds up very well compared to other shoes with vulcanized outersoles. They aslo have awesome support. Es make some excillent shoes also. The Accel shoes

have great ancle support and are very durable. Emerica AR slims are excillent shoes if you are into big gaps, handrails and sets due to their System G2 and Sti Foam insole. They also have a very good toe cap that is very durable for flip tricks.
Reply:Im super poor too. I feel you bro. Im skating some Es, they're really good. The Justin Eldridge Theory Mids. They're great. Too bad they're vulcanized. I got weak @$$ feet and need cupsole shoes.

If you want a vulcanized shoe. Get those Es Justin Eldridge Theory Mid top.

If you want a cupsoled skate shoe, get those Lakai MJ-3's cupsoled, or certain DVS shoes, (make sure the sole is a good flexible comfy sole too.)

f**k Adio, they suck. Vans are sometimes okay. Airwalks. Id say just save up the money to buy something better than those. Some globes are good, the Altar's are okay, the Finales are great, and the Encores are just like the Finales except they're vulcanized.
Reply:I got a pair of world industries they lasted a few (4) months and that was with heavy skating and general use too. They costed about $35 Australian.
Reply:DC ive had about 3 pairs and thay were the best!! but it also depends on how much you spend make sure the material isnt too weak as itll rip and wear very quickly go for super suede or leather

HELP.... What do i do about this horse?

I had seen the most lovely horse advertised with a great picture, so i called up and went down to see it - to my horror this is when i was presented with a horse that i could count every single bone on its body..thrush in its feet (they had not been picked out once since the last shoeing 6 weeks ago probably) the smell was quiet over powering. it had corns and the start of small ulcer starting in its mouth. my head is telling me to walk away and not get involved, but my heart is saying save it (don't want to tell if it's a him or her if this gets traced back) it would not pass a vetting in it's current condition,

THE PLAN; have it vetted, (it will fail) buy her if it is just the weight issue that comes up, and the blood tests are fine..i can get feet and mouth sorted out with tlc, vet and farrier.. buy it at a cheeper price as it failed.. take it home and then report the farm? this is a 3-4 yr old horse. please help... advice.. anything i am in a real state, it would make a great horse

HELP.... What do i do about this horse?
Report the farm.
Reply:bang it hard!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Take it and report the farm. Did you see any other sick animals there? Maybe you would be saving more then this horse if you do this
Reply:you should help it

go with your heart..

if you dont' it sounds like it will die
Reply:report the farm and try to save it!

and I hope it turns out ok with all my heart!
Reply:This horse sounds like it's in a terrible condition. I would DEFIANTLY buy the horse and then report the farm. The horse is young and the conditions that you have just described sounds like it won't live much longer unless You take it and nurse it back to health. There can't be a farm that does that to poor, young animals. Trust what your heart and PLEASE do what you think is best for you and the horse. Please take buying the horse into consideration. I think that the horse will be forever grateful if you do. I hope that I've helped : ] and good luck with your decision.
Reply:getiing stuff done 4 a horse is expensive especailly all the stuf u want 2 have dont 2 it so i hope u have a lot of money just report the farm and have the animal police come and save it and get it back to better help
Reply:call F*C*I*G animal control now!!!!!!! arrest their A*S
Reply:In UK report to RSPCA

In USA report to the relevant animal welfare agency.

At present do not buy it.
Reply:The vetting should be done immediately.......... and make sure you get an out-of-town vet!........... There might be an "old pals" pact around.

As for the thrush, that is easy to cure. Make a shallow paddle trough and fill it with warm malt vinegar. Stand the horse in it for at least 1/2 and hour. Regular maintenance paddles, every month, should keep the thrush away. (It works for humans as well!)

Actually, regular grooming with vinegar and water ensures the animal keeps a good coat and clears the genitals of any problems.

Regular drenches with Pure Lemon Juice will also clear the throat and airways. (also good for humans).
