Do jumps soles (the ones you put in your shoes) work?

i can jump pretty high right now like i'm 5'7 and i'm white lol but i'm an inch and a half away from tipping rim. I play this team called the harlem wizards during the summer at a camp and the rim is 2-3 inches lower but i probably still cant dunk. Last year i was 5'5 and a half during the summer and i could tip it. So i wanna try using jump soles... do they work???

Do jumps soles (the ones you put in your shoes) work?
Yes, they do work. The jump soles target the calves and the tendons. Those are the primary muscles they target. It also target the hamstrings as a secondary.

But don't just work your calves. Work your quads. When you crouch down for the jump, the major muscle that is used is your quads. Then, as you jump and go off your feet, your calves are the primary muscle.

Jump soles won't make you gain over a foot in vertical in a year, but it should give you up to six inches of vertical gain.

Tipping the rim won't get you the dunk. You have to go at least wrist over to dunk.

Good luck.
Reply:Yeah, I play for a team in the summer also, I trained with them and I am 5'11 (Maybe 6'0) I'm an average jumper, but I can easily dunk now. They are a good investment and they can improve your speed also ! Go ahead and get some, just make sure you train right with them (they come with a booklet and video) Good Luck !
Reply:They can't hurt... you should do some strengthening exercises on your legs as well.
